{"id":12054,"date":"2020-05-28T05:00:57","date_gmt":"2020-05-28T05:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/?p=12054"},"modified":"2020-05-27T13:01:56","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T13:01:56","slug":"disgraceland-dose-em-up-self-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/?p=12054","title":{"rendered":"Disgraceland &#8211; &#8216;Dose &#8216;Em Up&#8217; (Self Release)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-12056 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563-65x65.png 65w, https:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/received_277060193294563.png 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Disgraceland hooked up together a couple of years ago and play punk n roll.\u00a0 They clearly have a love of all things Motorhead and all that revolves around that orbit.\u00a0 This three-piece from the west country are no strangers to slogging it round their scene for many years previous but decided to hook up and make some noise.<\/p>\n<p>This EP opens up with the trio riffing around a Motorhead sound knocking out &#8216;Leaving Here&#8217; as &#8216;Storming An H Cup&#8217; sounds half decent and the guitar solo is straight out of the Captain Sensible solo book and there&#8217;s nothing wrong with that.<\/p>\n<p>They said they like a spaghetti western and love of rockabilly and that shines through on &#8216;Hillbilly Heroine&#8217; but I&#8217;d steer clear of knocking up a fix of that bad boy it sounds unpleasant but the tune isn&#8217;t too shabby to be fair and a lot less harmful to your health.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Harvey&#8217; is an out and out rocka but the subject matter is a little dark to say the least.\u00a0 Nice n tight riffs to be fair.\u00a0 &#8216;Hard Of Thinking&#8217; made me chuckle as the characters in the song subject seem to have risen like shit in a bath during the pandemic a fairly straight-ahead number sounding more like something Therapy? would kick out and that guitar tone is savage &#8211; nice n jagged wasn&#8217;t expecting to break down into some prime time Jaya The Cat at the end but it worked and made me smile.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Adult Fuckery&#8217; is a sixth former take on adulthood.\u00a0 Noisy and full-blooded but wait the final offering is a three and a half minute instrumental!
