Following on\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in their wake\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">were the just as important and influential second wave, never quite making it to the Arenas but packing out clubs across their home Countries, Europe and even as far afield as\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">North America<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. One such band was the \u201cDEMONS\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Strangely enough, the States, notably the Pacific Northwest<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0embraced the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Scandinavian Invasion and for a while, \u201cDEMONS\u201d were the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0uncrowned<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Kings of it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To celebrate the band\u2019s 25<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Anniversary a live\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">album called \u201cNo Loitering\u201d that was recorded<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">between the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ir<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0second\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">album<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cStockholm Slump\u201d and third \u201cDemonology\u201d on the 5<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0March 2004 at The Crocodile Cafe in Seattle<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is being released via\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Vitriola<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Recordings<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The press release says that \u201cIt by no means is pretty\u201d, I\u2019m not even sure if this is off the Soundboard or a very well recorded audience recording but it\u2019s what we want<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, no scrub that, it\u2019s what we need<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">; f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ast, sweaty and furious<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0without any<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0compromise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The original classic four piece line-up<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0k<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">icking\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">an eleven song set off with<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cU<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ndertaker&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ament<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d from the aforementioned \u201cStockholm Slump\u201d but before you have time to register that fact the band are already ripping through \u201cDevil In Me\u201d but it\u2019s not all past glories as the band road test\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">as yet unreleased \u201cLost Dog\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cWhat\u2019s This Shit Called Love\u201d,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">both\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sit perfectly well<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in the set.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The gig is the perfect length<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0for us old school TDK 90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">merchants<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0coming in at just under 40 minutes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Back in the day if I\u00a0<\/span>did<span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0have this on a cassette on the other side would be the Ramones \u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Alive\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0The only gripe I have is no \u201cElectrocute\u201d. Over here in Dear\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">olde<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Blighty gigs still seem a long way off.
