The 8LP set includes live recordings from Mould\u2019s solo career and his band\u00a0<strong>Sugar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, today Mould also announces his\u00a0<strong>\u201cDistortion and Blue Hearts!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0tour starting September 16th\u00a02021, in Boston at Paradise. The tour is in two parts. For the first three weeks, Bob will be joined by\u00a0<strong>Jason Narducy<\/strong>\u00a0on bass and drummer\u00a0<strong>Jon Wurster<\/strong>. Beginning October 15th in Bloomington, IL, Mould will perform\u00a0<strong>\u201cSolo Distortion\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0electric shows.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Distortion: Live<\/em>\u00a0box follows October 2020\u2019s 8LP\u00a0<strong><em>Distortion: 1989-1995<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0vinyl set, which took in Mould&#8217;s early solo outings as well as his records with the much-beloved\u00a0Sugar, January 2021\u2019s 9LP\u00a0<strong><em>Distortion: 1996-2007<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0box set continuing through\u00a0the next steps in Mould&#8217;s solo career and his outings as\u00a0<strong>LoudBomb<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Blowoff<\/strong><em>,<\/em>\u00a0April 2021\u2019s 7LP\u00a0<strong><em>Distortion 2008-2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0covering\u00a0<strong><em>District<\/em>\u00a0<em>Line<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong><em>Sunshine Rock<\/em>,<\/strong>\u00a0and the 24 CD\u00a0<em>Distortion: 1989-2019<\/em>\u00a0box, which covers the entirety of his post-H\u00fcsker\u00a0D\u00fc output (excluding last year&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><em>Blue Hearts<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0LP).<\/p>\n<p>Mould\u2019s live shows will span his entire 40+ year career, including songs from the\u00a0<em>Distortion<\/em>\u00a0collection and from his landmark band\u00a0<strong>H<\/strong><strong>\u00fc<\/strong><strong>sker D<\/strong><strong>\u00fc<\/strong>, as well as songs from the\u00a0explosive and critically acclaimed\u00a0<em>Blue Hearts<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 about which\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone\u2019<\/em><em>s<\/em>\u00a04 out of 5 star review raved,\u00a0<em>\u201cfeels like a lost H\u00fcsker D\u00fc album with Mould howling invective over his buzzsawing guitar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bob writes:\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s been a year and a half away from the stage. This box set includes 4 live albums:\u00a0<strong><em>Live At The Cabaret Metro, 1989<\/em><\/strong>; the Sugar album\u00a0<strong><em>The Joke Is Always On Us, Sometimes<\/em><\/strong>;\u00a0<strong><em>LiveDog98<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(first time on vinyl), and\u00a0<strong><em>Live at ATP 2008<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(first time on vinyl).
