THE CHARLATANS proudly announce their (Covid) delayed release of their 30th Anniversary tour and a career spanning best-of entitled: ‘A Head Full of Ideas\u2019.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Released on Then Recordings through Republic Of Music,\u2018A Head Full of Ideas<\/b>\u2019 will sum up their remarkable progress from 1990 Manchester scene hopefuls to one of the UK\u2019s most enduring and best-loved bands.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Over the years, the band have notched up\u00a013 Top 40 studio albums<\/b>\u00a0– three of them number ones – alongside\u00a022 hit singles<\/b>, four of them top 10. The rollercoaster highs have been accompanied by some shattering lows, any which one of them could have felled a less resilient band, from nervous breakdowns to near bankruptcy and the deaths of two founder members.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Somehow, they have not just carried on but adapted and transformed. The classic Charlatans sound – driving Hammond organ, Northern Soul and house-influenced rhythms, swaggering guitars and Tim Burgess\u2019s sunny yet somehow yearning vocal – is instantly recognisable. And in spite of everything they have been through their music is now more relevant than ever, The Guardian described their last album, Different Days as \u201cone of their best ever\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

The ‘A Head Full of Ideas\u2019\u00a0album<\/b>\u00a0will also be available as\u00a0a\u00a06 vinyl LP Box Set<\/b>.\u00a0This limited edition set, is a diverse collection portrayed over five Transparent blue vinyl LP\u2019s, spanning their hits, classic live performances, unheard demo\u2019s and rarities and remixes. Within the box will also be an exclusive Original Demo\u2019s 7\u201d featuring \u2018Indian Rope\u2019\/\u2019The Only One I Know\u2019, as well as a signed print of a tour poster from the early 90\u2019s, a booklet featuring unseen photographs and sleeve notes by friend and journalist Dave Simpson.\u00a0<\/span>Their iconic and hugely adored live track One To Another (circa 1997) provides the titles for the individual vinyl collection within the box set. Each piece of vinyl is named after a lyric from the song.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

There will also be\u00a0triple vinyl LP<\/b>\u00a0version and\u00a02CD deluxe<\/b>\u00a0version featuring the hits albums,<\/span>\u00a0plus a bonus live album \u2018Trust is For Believers\u2019,<\/span>\u00a0and finally a\u00a0cd or vinyl<\/b>\u00a0of just the hits albums.<\/span><\/div>\n
