Joined by former Jim Jones Revue<\/strong> members Gavin Jay<\/strong> (bass) and Elliot Mortimer<\/strong> (piano and keyboards), The Jim Jones All Stars<\/strong> are augmented guitarist Carlton Mounsher<\/strong>, singer Ali Jones<\/strong>, drummer Chris Ellul <\/strong>and the three-way sax attack of Stuart Dace<\/strong>, Chuchi Malapersona<\/strong> and Tom Hodges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born out of necessity, born out of wedlock and simply born to boogie, The Jim Jones All Stars<\/strong> are an unholy trinity of birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe whole COVID\/Brexit problem just made it impossible to continue with The Righteous Mind<\/strong>,\u201d says Jim Jones<\/strong>, \u201cbut with various live offers and opportunities still coming in I had to come up with something, or else just go insane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNecessity, being the mother of invention, surprised us all when she delivered a healthy, heavyweight, blue-eyed amalgam of incendiary ramalama soul.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of the new line-up, Jim Jones<\/strong> has a wicked glint in his eye when he says: \u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure to have that much horn going on, as it allows me to plunge into the succulent, dark meat of the low-down, greasy, chitlin\u2019 groove \u2013 that\u2019s where all the flavour is!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warming to the theme, Jim Jones<\/strong> adds: \u201cThere\u2019s a whole new planet of killer songs and I\u2019m landing on it now and preparing to plant my freak flag. And on top of that, we\u2019re going to be deep-frying \u00e0 la carte from my entire back catalogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
