In 1980,\u00a0Kirk Brandon<\/strong>\u00a0formed\u00a0Theatre Of Hate\u00a0<\/strong>from the ashes of heralded punk band The Pack.\u00a0 Joining Kirk on vocals were notable punk musicians\u00a0Stan Stammers<\/strong>\u00a0and Luke Rendall, along with old school friend, Steve Guthrie and Canadian born\u00a0John \u201cBoy\u201d Lennard<\/strong>, who revolutionised the band\u2019s sound with his haunting sax lines.

Theatre Of Hate\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0debut double-A-side single,\u00a0\u201cLegion\u201d\/\u201dOriginal Sin<\/strong>\u201d, topped the independent chart in 1980, and\u00a0\u201cWestworld<\/strong>\u201d, their debut album, produced by\u00a0Mick Jones<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0The Clash<\/strong>\u00a0and released in 1982, held the number one position for 21 weeks.\u00a0 The single taken from the album,\u00a0\u201cDo You Believe In The Westworld?\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0has become an anthem and is still widely played in clubs and on international radio, as well as featuring on numerous compilation albums.

Supporting the likes of\u00a0The Clash & Ian Dury<\/strong>\u00a0lead to\u00a0Theatre Of Hate<\/strong>\u00a0headlining major venues across the UK & Northern Europe.

Theatre Of Hate<\/strong>\u00a0imploded in 1982, with Kirk taking Stan forward to form\u00a0Spear Of Destiny<\/strong>, but the band has resurfaced over the years to play some very special shows.

Having been asked by\u00a0John Curd<\/strong>\u00a0to join\u00a0The Damned<\/strong>\u00a0for a massive show at London\u2019s infamous\u00a0Roundhouse<\/strong>\u00a0in December 2014 the band once again joined the fray. A short set of dates around the London anchor show attracted rave reviews, as did a 6 night night SOLD OUT run in December 2014. (see reviews below)

2015<\/strong>\u00a0saw the band play two short jaunts across the UK in\u00a0April<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0December\u00a0<\/strong>both sets of dates wowed large crowds.

During touring in\u00a02014<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a02015<\/strong>\u00a0the band constantly recorded at\u00a0Oxygen Studios<\/strong>\u00a0in Manchester, the first new studio album in 30+ years<\/strong>\u00a0is now complete and released via a private pledge! ‘Kinshi’<\/strong>\u00a0was released on\u00a0October 14th<\/sup>\u00a02016<\/strong>\u00a0on CD, Vinyl, Download & Dub to pledgers. The 12 brand new songs are simply stunning.\u00a0

On their upcoming tour,\u00a0Kirk, Stan and John<\/strong>\u00a0will be joined by current\u00a0Spear Of Destiny<\/strong>\u00a0band member\u00a0Adrian Portas<\/strong>\u00a0(New Model Army<\/strong>) on guitar and\u00a0Chris Bell<\/strong>(Hugh Cornwall<\/strong>) on drums to pay homage to the iconic TOH sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
