On 4th\u00a0<\/sup>November\u00a0BMG Records<\/strong>\u00a0is proud to present a limited edition splatter vinyl edition and an expanded deluxe CD reissue of the compilation album\u00a0Sladest<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0Slade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


These beautifully presented reissues will see\u00a0Sladest\u00a0<\/em>released on limited edition blue and white splatter vinyl. While the CD is housed in a deluxe media book and includes the original extended essay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


‘Sladest’<\/em>\u00a0originally released on 28th\u00a0September 1973 topped the UK charts and was a success in Europe and beyond too. In\u00a0Sladest\u2019s first week of release, the album was awarded a UK Silver Disc and in November, it received a UK Gold Disc. Having remained at No.1 for its first three weeks of release,\u00a0Sladest\u00a0<\/em>later returned to the top spot in mid-January 1974, following the success of “Merry Xmas Everybody”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When first released\u00a0Sladest<\/em>\u00a0featured fourteen songs, including the band\u2019s eight hit singles up to that time. The new expanded CD version now includes 20 songs, including two additional bonus tracks Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me (USA 7\u201d Edit) and Merry Xmas Everybody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Slade are without doubt one of the most exciting bands to come out of Great Britain and were unstoppable throughout the Seventies becoming one of the biggest bands; releasing six smash hits albums, including three UK Number Ones, a run of 17 consecutive Top 20 singles and their hits provided a soundtrack to the Glam Generation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
