On 20th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0January 2023 Demon Records release two Frank Black And The Catholics albums, which have never been previously available on these vinyl formats.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Both \u2018Snake Oil\u2019 and\u00a0\u00a0\u2018Live At Melkweg (Expanded Edition)\u2019 are lovingly issued on 140g vinyl: \u2018Snake Oil\u2019 has only been released digitally before, while \u2018Live At Melkweg (Expanded Edition)\u2019\u00a0\u00a0will be available on 3 LPs featuring the 38 song show in its entirety, including 18 previously unreleased tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Between 1998 and 2003, Frank Black and Co. released six albums under the \u2018Frank Black And TheCatholics\u2019 moniker. All recorded live and direct to two track tape, the music created with theCatholics is some of the most energised, raw, and essential of Frank Black\u2019s career. \u2018Snake Oil\u2019 is acollection of cover versions recorded in the studio during this prolific period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Highlights include thunderous takes of Bob Dylan\u2019s \u2018Changing Of The Guards\u2019, Bruce Springsteen\u2019s\u2018I\u2019m Going Down\u2019, and Angst\u2019s \u2018Some Things (I Can\u2019t Get Used To)\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This is the first physical release of \u2018Snake Oil’, and has been newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering, with new artwork featuring photographs by Steve Gullick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An essential release for Frank Black fans, \u2018Live At Melkweg\u2019 marks the first time a complete Catholics\u2019 show has been officially released. This newly expanded edition features the 38 song show in its entirety\u00a0
