Beyond Nostalgia And Heartache –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One night around Gaff’s for a few drinks, Kit was sitting cross-legged on the floor and talking about an Aerosmith song she loved…the feeling it gave her… \u00a0“…it’s… it’s like… beyond nostalgia and heartbreak!”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What did you JUST SAY?” (all this over blasting tunes and half-filled glasses)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That struck me as an incredibly\u00a0beautiful thing to say. I changed heartbreak for heartache so it sang better and there ya go\u2026. I ran and wrote it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a song about yearning to find joy\u2026 the peaks and valleys of striving for something you love\u2026 the feeling of the chorus melody and those harmonies lift you to a place that reassures you… you can still reach out… even through the hard times… sometimes the idea is all you have. But it can be lifesaving and special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not losing the dream in the struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craig captured that feeling perfectly\u2026 with every first guitar there are a lot of papers to deliver AND a lot joy\u2026 To try\u2026 and love what we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video has a lot of heart and special locations\u2026 like the street and area in Wood Green Jeannie was born into… the wonderful All Ages Records (allagesrecords.com) in Camden… Denmark Street\u2019s Regents Sound (regent\u00a0sounds.com) guitar shop in Soho right across the street from the 12 Bar Club where I once worked and played many times… Jeannie even plays a guitar close friend Olivia Airey (Bassist in Berlin metal band Maggot Heart) gifted her years ago…\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band live footage was even shot in Camden Assembly (formerly The Barfly\u2026 where I  first met  my wife after a show on tour from New York)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It stars my daughter Jeannie\u2026 which brings it all full circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all a fitting last single and video for an album that has been so special for us\u2026 and sets up the forthcoming album nicely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
