Following their highly acclaimed single \u2018Ride Hard Ride Free\u2019, the undisputed kings of balls-out rock’n’roll ZEKE have a new 7′ entitled \u2018Snake Eyes\u2019 slated for October 4th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ZEKE<\/strong> is a punk rock and hardcore institution, forming in 1992 in Seattle and still going strong. They are still doing what they do best, loud fast and heavy punk rock with a hint of blues. You can say that they were punked up Mot\u00f6rhead but they brought a certain punk rock and hardcore element to the genre that many bands after them picked up on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RPM Online<\/strong> wrote, \u201cZeke really are like no other band in the world right now\u201d and that \u201cIt\u2019s not fast, its fucking hypersonic hardcore\u201d, while Maximum Volume<\/strong> highly recommends \u201c\u2026 they are the kings of the underground.\u201dVive le Rock<\/strong> in UK is pleased \u201cthe quartet will be giving Brexit the finger.\u201d and also Ox Fanzine<\/strong> from Germany confirmed, \u201cthey are in top form, just as we celebrated them back in 1996 for Super Sound Racing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

With original members\u00a0Blind Marky Felchtone<\/strong>\u00a0(vocals and guitar) and\u00a0Donny Paycheck<\/strong>\u00a0(drums)\u00a0along with\u00a0Jason Freeman<\/strong>\u00a0(bass) and\u00a0Jeff Hiatt<\/strong>\u00a0(guitar), \u2018Snake Eyes\u2019 is as uncompromising as ever, with a furious whirlwind rhythm the foundation for a tidal wave of fast guitars. Feltchtone\u2019s serrated knife vocal might be even more toxic than two decades ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Snake Eyes<\/strong>\u2019 slows down the punk speed a bit in favor of a high-octane rock affair that, like Hellacopters, comes across as played at the wrong speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the flipside you will find pure intensity with \u2018The Knife<\/strong>\u2019 and you can imagine ZEKE driving one through the night doing whatever they are doing in the back and once its finished you feel dazed and confused. Like one of those masochists who likes pain you want to put it on again too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Snake Eyes\u2019 was produced by Jack Endino<\/strong> (Mudhoney, Nirvana, High on Fire, The Acc\u00fcsed) at Soundhouse in Seattle, WA, and mastered by Joe Bozzi<\/strong> at Bernie Grundmann in Los Angeles, CA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
