Ultrabomb<\/strong>, the ferocious international punk supergroup, is set to storm the stage this summer with the\u00a0Ultrabob 5000 West Coast Tour<\/strong>, in support of their latest release,\u00a0Dying to Smile<\/em>\u00a0(2024, DC-Jam Records). With a lineup packed with punk rock pedigree and a newly expanded schedule of dates, the band is primed to deliver one of the year\u2019s most explosive tours.Joining them on the\u00a0Ultrabob 5000 West Coast Tour<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0Dead Bob<\/strong>, the solo incarnation of\u00a0John Wright<\/strong>, the drummer and co-founder of the long-running and widely respected Canadian punk band\u00a0NoMeansNo<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Though\u00a0NMN<\/em>\u00a0is now retired, Wright\u2019s new project carries forward his legacy of sharp musicianship and boundary-pushing punk energy.Ultrabomb\u2019s legacy is already cemented, thanks to the unmatched pedigree of its members. On bass is\u00a0Greg Norton<\/strong>, a founding member of the trailblazing\u00a0H\u00fcsker D\u00fc<\/strong>, whose influence helped shape the sound of American punk rock and inspired generations of artists including The Pixies, Green Day, and Foo Fighters.
Behind the drums is\u00a0Derek O\u2019Brien<\/strong>, best known for his work with\u00a0Social Distortion,<\/strong>\u00a0who has been a driving force in the genre through his contributions to seminal bands like Agent Orange, Adolescents, and DI.And now, Ultrabomb adds a powerful new dimension with the addition of\u00a0Ryan Smith<\/strong>\u00a0(guitar). A veteran musician, songwriter, and producer, Smith is known for his work with\u00a0Soul Asylum<\/strong><\/em>.
