Originally from Peterborough and now split between Bristol and London, the five-piece formed in 2023 and quickly earned a reputation for unpredictable live shows and a relentless DIY ethos, while still working with some of underground music\u2019s most respected engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CLUB BRAT - 25 CAMERAS (Official Lyric Video)\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/co_D8WMOc18?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Their upcoming EP, \u2018Four Songs\u2019 (out 12th September via <strong>VENN Records<\/strong>), was recorded at HUMM Studios with <strong>Dom Mitchison<\/strong> and <strong>Archie Jones<\/strong>, and mastered by <strong>Bob Weston<\/strong> of <strong>Shellac<\/strong> &#8211; a clear nod to the <strong>Albini<\/strong> school of stark, unvarnished production. But the EP isn\u2019t political in content &#8211; it\u2019s political in form: concise, deliberate, and unapologetically direct. Yet CLUB BRAT resists comfortable interpretation. Their songs provoke, not preach &#8211; inviting listeners to draw their own conclusions and turning each encounter into something personal and open-ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following on from their \u2018Goodbye Pop Culture\u2019 single released last month (and scoring plays on BBC Introducing West &#8216;Artist of the Week&#8217;, KEXP, SiriusXM, Radio X, RTE2 and Alex Baker &#8216;Featured Artist of the Week&#8217; Kerrang! Radio, among others), Club Brat are set to reveal another track from the EP titled \u201925 Cameras\u2019. Perfectly compressing the bands discordant, uninhabited sound, \u201925 Cameras\u2019 is wiry, jagged and deliberately feral.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith \u201825 Cameras\u2019, we wanted to capture the feeling of being constantly watched &#8211; the claustrophobia, the urgency, the tension that never lets up,\u201d explains guitarist Joe Smith. \u201cIt channels the nervous system of Gang of Four through the brute force of METZ. At its heart, it\u2019s a hymn to media culture &#8211; restless, uneasy, and impossible to ignore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about scrutiny &#8211; about being watched and inspected, \u201cadds vocalist Ike McCormick. \u201cWhether it speaks to an individual, a collective, or an authority. What defines them isn\u2019t style &#8211; it\u2019s urgency: raw, confrontational, and constantly evolving.
