Rock Generation is a celebration for all rock fans around the world&#8230; Made to ROCK ur Soul.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in the \u201880s, Scottish rock \u2018n\u2019 roll warriors&nbsp;<strong>Heavy Pettin<\/strong>&nbsp;strode stages worldwide whilst their debut album, 1983\u2019s Lettin Loose, threatened to break the rock world apart. They were seen as the natural ascendants to rock\u2019s highest echelons, touring internationally alongside the likes of&nbsp;<strong>Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Motley Cr\u00fce<\/strong>&nbsp;as wild Glaswegian whippersnappers. Then life happened and&nbsp;<strong>Heavy Pettin<\/strong>&nbsp;went on a triple decade hiatus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listening to&nbsp;<strong>Heavy Pettin<\/strong>\u2019s first new studio album since 1989 \u2013&nbsp;<em>Rock Generation<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 feels more like a 30 week\u2019 hiatus augmented by a supreme confidence. Led by founding frontman&nbsp;<strong>Stephen \u201cHamie\u201d Hayman<\/strong>, featuring&nbsp;<strong>Dave \u201cDavo\u201d Aitken<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;Richie \u201cSt. James\u201d Dews<\/strong>&nbsp;on guitars and backing vocals, plus&nbsp;<strong>David \u201cBoycee\u201d Boyce&nbsp;<\/strong>on bass and&nbsp;<strong>Mick \u201cThe Wizard\u201d Ivory<\/strong>&nbsp;on drums,&nbsp;<em>Rock Generation<\/em>&nbsp;is a sonically-superb, classic song-strong rock \u2018n\u2019 roll return to that glorious slipstream between&nbsp;<strong>Def Leppard<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Whitesnake<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Thin Lizzy<\/strong>. The ten cuts bristle with full-front attitude, melody, and anthems. Take the title track, with its hip swinging anthemic swagger, there\u2019s \u201cOblivion\u201d with guest vocals from&nbsp;<strong>Roni Lee&nbsp;<\/strong>which carries a true Celtic swing in its groove plus an addictive singalong chorus, while \u201cX-Rated\u201d fuses the attitude of Glasgow\u2019s Sauchiehall Street with the punch and panache of the Sunset Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Made in Glasgow at Morsecode Studios and produced with a timeless sheen by Ciar\u00e1n O\u2019Shea, make no mistake,<em>&nbsp;<\/em><em>Rock Generation<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em>is only interested in bringing you on a thrill-ride through the carefree sweat and leather landscape of cut-loose heavy rock \u2018n\u2019 roll.
