I always love getting emails from Pirates Press about the new records coming our way, and a band who visit the UK regularly, as well as releasing most excellent albums, is The Drowns. ‘Harsh Reality’ is<\/em> the new full-length album from Seattle’s The Drowns, produced by punk rock legend Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) and mixed & mastered by Jason Livermore. Surely that’s enough to perk up the interest in this album. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing as we’re only here for a good time and not a long time, The Drowns dish up the perfect soundtrack of honest, good tunes that are well produced and given the perfect amount of time to craft the solos and breaks. It’s not by accident these things happen; it’s a skill you can try long and hard to perfect or, like the Drowns,, you just have it in your DNA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
