\"\"<\/a>Dust down your dead man\u2019s suit and lace up your dancing boots, \u2018cause Daddy Long Legs are back with a new album, and may well be coming to your town. \u2018Theme From Daddy Long Legs\u2019 eases us in gently before new single \u2018Pink Lemonade\u2019 takes us down a slightly different route than you might expect. Not a drastic change, but it updates their traditional sound; if you heard it on the radio, you\u2019d like it, but not necessarily think it was them.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ding, Dong, Dang\u2019, on the other hand, could have been recorded in 1939, and sounds exactly like the title suggests, which is no bad thing. Some fine twanging from Murat here. \u2018Morning\u2019, Noon, Night\u2019 would have a nod of appreciation from Howlin\u2019 Wolf; down and dirty blues, just the way it should be played. \u2018Glad Rag Ball\u2019 gets the hips shaking, \u201csuited and booted\u201d indeed. If this doesn\u2019t get you moving, consult your local medicine man.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bad Neighborhood\u2019 is a scuzzy, acoustic riff, and \u2018Celaphine\u2019 keeps up the train-track rhythm, all handclaps and foot taps. \u2018Winners\u2019 Circle\u2019 has a breezy, up-tempo Chuck Berry feel to it, while \u2018Back Door Fool\u2019 slows things down in a country style, worthy of Jason Ringenberg. Classy.<\/p>\n

\u2018Snagglepuss\u2019 berates a \u201cmean old bag of bones\u201d, \u2018Be Gone\u2019 brings a hoe-down flavour; shove your coffee table aside and prepare to move, before \u2018Wrong Side Of The River\u2019 brings it all to an end with a more somber tone. If you\u2019re familiar with their work, you\u2019ll know that Daddy Long Legs won\u2019t let you down. Another fine album, but to capture their essence, see them on their upcoming U.K tour.<\/p>\n
