I haven\u2019t thought about it much, been super busy. But got a ton of tunes to submit. I never know what to expect. I\u2019m always surprised when it\u2019s done and can see it as a whole picture. And we\u2019re making a record after how long?! I\u2019ve been waiting for this to happen for a very long time, and I\u2019m totally looking forward to it.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Jerry Gaskill adds,\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s been a while since we\u2019ve made a record together. I go back and forth between excitement and fear. But when it gets right down to it, I think excitement wins. I look forward to sharing all of our ideas together and seeing what comes of it all. If nothing else, it will be the next\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0record.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ty Tabor says,\u00a0<em>\u201cI&#8217;m excited to see where we are at these days. We&#8217;re all bringing ideas in.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Michael Parnin adds about recording the new album with\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>,\u00a0<em>\u201cA great story in the making\u2026 As a huge fan of the band from the beginning, I am unbelievably excited to work on the next long-awaited chapter. Golden Robot Records is determined to finally help KING\u2019S X receive the worldwide recognition it fully deserves<\/em>.\u201d<\/div>\n<div data-empty=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div>Since the release of their debut record,\u00a0<em>Out Of The Silent Planet<\/em>, in 1988,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0released over a dozen albums that have seen them rightfully earn their place on the rock royalty family tree. Fusing progressive metal, funk and soul grooves with vocal arrangements rooted in blues, gospel and even the British Invasion era influences,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0created a style all their own which continues to be an inspiration for bands to this day.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Featuring vocalist and bassist Doug Pinnick, guitarist Ty Tabor and drummer Jerry Gaskill,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X\u00a0<\/strong>have never changed their line-up, a rarity in the music world and a testament to the band and musicians and friends.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Critically acclaimed from the start,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0are musician\u2019s musicians, name-dropped by everyone from\u00a0<strong>Anthrax\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Suicidal Tendencies<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>Iron Maiden<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Blue Murder<\/strong>\u00a0for their instrumental prowess.\u00a0<strong>Pearl Jam&#8217;<\/strong>s bassist Jeff Ament even declared that &#8220;<strong><em>KING&#8217;S X<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0invented grunge<\/em>\u201d. They also enjoyed a long life via the David Letterman Show with their track, \u201cWe Were Born To Be Loved\u201d (from 1990\u2019s\u00a0<em>Faith Hope Love<\/em>), also a favorite of the\u00a0Paul Shaffer\u2019s CBS Orchestra\u00a0to play during commercial breaks.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In 1992,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0signed to Atlantic Records\/Megaforce Records, released three albums and toured with bands as diverse as\u00a0<strong>Scorpions<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Type O Negative<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Pearl Jam<\/strong>. In the early 2000\u2019s,\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X\u00a0<\/strong>released three studio albums and their first official live album via Metal Blade Records. In 2005, the band signed to German-based progressive music specialty label, InsideOut Music, and released\u00a0<em>Ogre Tones<\/em>, an album described as a return to the bands classic sound.\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0forged ahead with new albums, DVD\u2019s and tours up until 2012, when drummer Jerry Gaskill suffered a major heart attack. The band then quickly compiled an exclusive live release from their archives entitled,\u00a0<em>Burning Down Boston<\/em>. The proceeds of which went directly to assisting Gaskill with his medical expenses. They rolled on for two more years until Jerry suffered another heart attack, which resulted in him having a double bypass operation and ultimately led to the band taking an indefinite hiatus.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This break didn\u2019t last long, as they were back on the road in mid-2015, shortly afterward announcing they would begin work on a new studio album. This would be the band\u2019s first since 2008\u2019s\u00a0<em>XV<\/em>.\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0began meetings with Golden Robot Records management in Los Angeles in early 2017, eventually signing a global deal in October 2018.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>While it\u2019s been a decade since\u00a0<strong>KING\u2019S X<\/strong>\u00a0have released a new record, the wait has definitely been worth it!
