\"\"<\/a>With the debris barely settled following the release of their critically acclaimed explosive second album,\u2018CollectiV\u2019<\/strong>, and near sold-out spring UK and European tour, testifying rockers Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind<\/strong> have announced details of brand new, limited edition 7\u201d coloured vinyl single, \u2018Get Down Get With It\u2019<\/strong>. It will be supported by 11 UK gigs in September and October.<\/p>\n

Made famous by Little Richard and Slade, \u2018Get Down Get With It\u2019, will be limited to just 1000 copies. Released by Ma\u00a7onic Records via Cargo on 20 September on pink vinyl and backed with a reading of Link Wray\u2019s \u2018Ace Of Spades\u2019, it will be on sale only at tour venues and selected independent record stores.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pushing the VU meters well into the red, \u2018Get Down Get With It\u2019<\/strong> is arguably the noisiest and rawest record that Jim Jones <\/strong>has recorded over an illustrious career that has seen him front the legendary bands Thee Hypnotics, Black Moses and The Jim Jones Revue. What is beyond debate is that it\u2019s a glorious call to arms guaranteed to get your ass off your seat and your feet on the floor.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the new single, Jim Jones<\/strong> says: \u201c\u2019Get Down Get With It\u2019<\/strong> became the rallying cry for the \u2018CollectiV\u2019<\/strong> tour, so it made sense to go back into the studio, turn everything up to 11 and totally rip it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continues: \u201cLiars and charlatans have got the world tearing itself apart right now when really, we should be coming together. Even if it\u2019s just for a few minutes, this absolutely does that and lives up to its name.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jim Jones & the Righteous Mind<\/strong> will also embark on a UK tour <\/strong>that calls in at Manchester<\/strong>, London<\/strong>, and Brighton<\/strong> among others. Billed as \u2018An invitation to get down get with it\u2019, the London<\/strong> date takes place on 21 September<\/strong> at The Garage<\/strong> in Highbury<\/strong>. Promising a Saturday night extravaganza with a full supporting cast of special guests and performers, the event is topped off with a 2.30am late night license<\/strong> for extended reveling.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had to turn people away when we last played London so we wanted to go to a bigger venue and put on a really special event for our hometown,\u201d explains Jim Jones. \u201cIn addition to support from Ye Nuns<\/strong>, Chrome Mountain<\/strong> and Suzie Stapleton<\/strong>, we\u2019ve got rock\u2019n\u2019roll DJs Helene de Joie<\/strong> and Las Titis<\/strong> to keep the party going into the early hours, as well as dancing from Rebel Skin <\/strong>and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can also expect some very special guests who we\u2019ll reveal on the night.\u201d<\/p>\n

He adds: \u201cWith tubes and buses running all night and all of Sunday to recover, it\u2019s the perfect night out.\u201d<\/p>\n
