To support the release, the Norwegian four-piece will embark on a European tour in December with\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS<\/b>, whose vocalist Gared O&#8217;Donnell is also making a guest appearance on the Wolves\u2019 upcoming album.<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/thumbnail.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7242 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/rpmonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">Formed in Oslo, Norway in 2010,\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">WOLVES LIKE US<\/b>\u00a0emerged out of the ashes of local punk \/ hardcore pioneers\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">JR EWING, AMULET<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">INFIDELS FOREVER<\/b>, among others. The new band quickly made themselves a name as a super-energetic live band in the local scene, blending equal parts Quicksand and Afghan Wings with their own idiosyncratic post-hardcore sound. After only 5 shows, they instantly signed with Prosthetic Records for a 3 album deal, and hit the road for tours and shows with\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">KVELERTAK,<\/b><b class=\"yiv0236904120\">PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS, SWING KIDS, JUNIUS<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">GALLOWS<\/b>\u00a0and festivals like Oya or Groezrock in the months to come. 3 releases saw the light of day under the roof of Prosthetic Records since,<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Late\u00a0<\/i><i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Love<\/i>\u00a0(2011),\u00a0<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Get Gone<\/i>\u00a0(2012) and\u00a0<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Black Soul\u00a0<\/i><i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Choir\u00a0<\/i>(2014).\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">After almost 5 years of family responsibility- induced hiatus, the 4-piece is now back with a killer new album:\u00a0<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Brittle Bones<\/i>, demoed by Bjarte from\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">KVELERTAK<\/b>\u00a0and mixed by Scott Evans of\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">KOWLOON WALLED CITY<\/b>, shows a grown up and more dynamic wolf pack than ever before.<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u00a0\u201eThere was less tension this time, we almost didn\u2019t argue at all &#8211; which is rare for us\u201c, says drummer Jonas Thire. \u201eA lot has happened to us at a personal level. Positives, like we all have kids now. But dark shit too. There\u2019s been a divorce. Lars has been really sick. He wrote the lyrics as a kind of diary to deal with issues like abuse, literally and figuratively.\u201c<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">The band has been good friends with iconic post-hardcore band\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS<\/b>\u00a0for years, whose singer Gared O&#8217;Donnell visited them in Oslo randomly that week when\u00a0<b class=\"yiv0236904120\">WOLVES LIKE US<\/b>\u00a0were tracking vocals for\u00a0<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">Brittle Bones<\/i>. He ended up laying down his second guest appearance for the band:<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u00a0\u201eOn a drunken night in May after Lars, Toy and Rune (the engineer) had taken him out for one too many beers\u201c, comments vocalist &amp; guitarist Lars Kristensen&#8230; \u201ewe ended up shirtless doing<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><i class=\"yiv0236904120\">vocals\u201c.<\/i><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"yiv0236904120\"><span class=\"yiv0236904120\">Lyrically, the red thread that goes through Brittle Bones is the topic of \u00abhonesty\u00bb, which is to say\u00a0<i class=\"yiv0236904120\">\u201edealing with demons in a real way, facing them and giving them the middle finger so to speak\u201c, says Lars.
