The album only features one cover version (The Tubes \u201cWhite Punks On Dope) &#8211; alongside eleven original Joe Elliott penned tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist\u00a0<strong>Guy Griffin\u00a0<\/strong>says,\u00a0<em>\u201c(\u201cThis Is How We Roll\u201d)\u00a0<\/em><em>is absolutely fantastic, probably one of the best records I\u2019ve worked on. It doesn\u2019t sound like Leppard or the first two Down n Outz records. It\u2019s kind of all the stuff Joe grew up with, a lot of piano type stuff, a bit Elton John, one track a bit 10cc, a couple of good rockers\u2026 a real mix of stuff. Joe\u2019s voice sounds amazing and it\u2019s great fun to do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Joe Elliott\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>says,<em>\u201cBoy, has this has been a long time coming?! Recorded in infrequent bursts of activity over a 5-year period whenever our respective motherships allowed, I\u2019m extremely proud of what we\u2019ve achieved with this album. I\u2019m blessed to have worked with such a superb bunch of musicians on this\u00a0collection of songs.\u00a0To a man, and woman (!), they completely got my vision of what I wanted us to convey on this record &amp; as usual, working with a world-class producer\/engineer in Ronan McHugh has guaranteed the sound of the record to be top-notch! I couldn\u2019t be more proud.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Along with the announcement of the new studio album, Down \u2018n\u2019 Outz also release the rock out of title track and lead single \u201cThis Is How We Roll\u201d, available to listen to:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/duffpress.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2e8abf58842c9dbf295c1e805&amp;id=481121921c&amp;e=71d8d4f580\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From breathless opener \u201cAnother Man\u2019s War\u201d to the lush \u201cLast Man Standing\u201d, to the epic six-minute \u201cLet It Shine\u201d, this is an album that draws on all the influences that have shaped both Joe Elliott and the previous Down \u2018n\u2019 Outz albums to create a stunning collection of original songs. \u201cThis Is How We Roll\u201d was produced by\u00a0<strong>Joe Elliott\u00a0<\/strong>with co-production by\u00a0<strong>Ronan McHugh<\/strong>. The album was recorded at\u00a0<strong>Joe Elliott<\/strong>\u2019s own studio\u00a0<strong>Joe\u2019s Garage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Is How We Roll\u201d will be released on via UMC on 11th October\u00a02019. Joe formed the Down \u2018n\u2019 Outz with Paul, Guy, Keith, and Phil. Together they looked to bring songs by Mott The Hoople and spin-off projects of Mott, Ian Hunter and British Lions to a wider audience.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009 Down \u2018n\u2019 Outz supported Mott The Hoople at one of the band\u2019s five Hammersmith Apollo shows. The fan interest eventually led to the band looking to put together an album and. 2011 saw the release of the critically acclaimed debut\u00a0<em>My Re-Generation<\/em>through Mailboat Records (Joe Perry, Walter Becker, Chris Isaak, Jeff Bridges).\u00a0<em>My Re-Generation\u00a0<\/em>included the singles \u201cEngland Rocks\u201d and \u201cOvernight Angels,\u201d that reached No 4 and No 1 respectively on the US Media Base Rock chart -keeping Eric Clapton\u2019s new single off the top of the chart for 2 weeks. The band then released a live DVD taken from those initial shows called \u201cLive at Hammersmith Apollo.\u201d A second studio album\u00a0<em>The Further Adventures of\u2026<\/em>was released in 2014 and featured the single \u201cRock and Roll Queen\u201d.
