In addition the band will launch the first single \u201cSuperstition\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cR3L0ADED\u201d is a real declaration of intent. GUN are looking to the road ahead, to new challenges, unfulfilled ambitions. While the album is a celebration of the band\u2019s illustrious past, it also forcibly underlines that their focus is fixed firmly on the future. There\u2019s a real feeling of optimism and creativity\u2026 of so much more to be achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst celebrating the 30<sup>th<\/sup>Anniversary of \u201cTaking On The World\u201d, the band\u2019s 1989 debut album, the double record gathers in one collection GUN\u2019s best singles, taken from their award-winning career spanning three decades. \u201cR3L0ADED\u201d is presented as a double album, Disc 1 features singles from the band\u2019s seven albums, such as first chart hit \u2019Better Days\u2019 (1989), \u2018Steal Your Fire\u2019 (1992), \u2018Don\u2019t Say It\u2019s Over\u2019 (1994) and \u2018Favourite Pleasures\u2019 (2017).<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist Giuliano \u201c<em>Jools\u201d Gizzi comments: \u201cR3L0ADED is a collection of our best singles.\u00a0\u00a0We wrote a bunch of songs \u2013 the best we could do and had no idea if they\u2019d be successful or if people would connect with them.<\/em>\u201d He then continues: \u201c<em>They are the soundtrack to a lot of good times and bad.\u00a0\u00a0Now, people come up to us to say how these songs have touched them or made an impact, however small, in their lives. In 1989, we WERE taking on the world. We still are<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frontman Dante Gizzi adds: \u201c<em>Taking On The World really put us on the map.\u00a0\u00a0Thirty years ago, our dream was simply to sign a record deal, release an album and maybe go on tour, no more than that. So it\u2019s great to recognise something which means so much to us, and also to the people who have stayed with us over the years.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Disc 2 is a collection of cover songs, which includes \u2018Word Up\u2019 by Cameo (1986), for which the band won the prestigious MTV Europe Music Award for Best Cover.\u00a0\u00a0The band have recorded new versions of \u2018Every 1\u2019s A Winner\u2019 by Hot Chocolate (1978), \u2018(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)\u2019 by The Beastie Boys (1986), \u2018Union City Blue\u2019 by Blondie (1979), \u2018Rock The Casbah\u2019 by The Clash (1982), \u2018Everybody Knows\u2019 by Dixie Chicks (2006), \u2018Diamonds\u2019 by Rihanna (2012) and \u2018Take Me To Church\u2019 by Hozier (2013).\u00a0\u00a0Firm proof GUN can also pull some real musical aces from the pack are the inclusion of the classic \u2018Superstition\u2019 by Stevie Wonder (1972) and \u2018Success\u2019 by Iggy Pop (1977).<\/p>\n<p>Jools reveals: \u201c<em>These tracks are our favourite songs by acts we\u2019ve grown up with.\u00a0\u00a0But we tried not to pick the obvious ones. Our aim was to make heavy rock versions of these great songs.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s what we do.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s become one of our strengths both live and in the studio<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FNeQ2emvyO8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dante continues: \u201c<em>There are many people out there who still want to hear GUN\u2026 We have an incredibly loyal fan base, so we owe it to them \u2013 as well as ourselves \u2013 to keep shooting for goal.
